Backed by psychology. Built with hospo in mind.
Hospo in Mind is a purpose-built mental health initiative created to support the people behind Australia’s hospitality industry.
Whether it’s helping a young bartender navigate burnout, supporting a manager through team conflict, or equipping a whole venue with tools to better communicate—Hospo in Mind meets teams where they are and helps them move forward.
Our goal is simple: to spark meaningful change in the way mental health is supported across hospitality venues in Australia.
Because when we look after the people who serve others day in and day out, we build a stronger, more sustainable industry—together.
WHAT WE OFFER
A Suite of Services Tailored to the Realities of Hospitality
We know there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. That’s why Hospo in Mind is flexible, practical, and designed to meet hospitality teams where they are—whether that’s a venue in need of team-wide training, or a manager looking for personalised coaching.
Staff can access confidential support from a team of experienced psychologists and counsellors who understand hospitality life.
From stress, burnout, and anxiety to more personal struggles like grief or relationships, our clinicians offer professional, non-judgemental support.
Importantly, we have sessions available outside of traditional 9–5 hours, so team members can access help on a schedule that works with hospo life.
Why it works: Staff feel seen, heard, and supported—with no stigma attached. It also signals that your venue is serious about wellbeing.
These practical, engaging sessions equip teams with real-world tools to support their mental health—at work and beyond.
Each module is built on psychological evidence and tailored for the unique demands of hospo culture. Topics include managing stress, building resilience, supporting teammates, and improving communication.
Whether you’re a small team or a multi-site group, our workshops create a shared language around mental health and a stronger, more connected workplace.
What to expect: Interactive sessions that spark insight, encourage reflection, and give your team tools they’ll actually use during service, not just after it.
We provide you with visually engaging mental health tips and reminders—branded with your logo and voice.
Perfect for sharing in break rooms, internal newsletters, or social media, this content keeps mental wellbeing visible and relevant all year round.
Why it matters: It shows your team you care about their mental health not just once, but consistently. It also reinforces your brand as one that supports its people.
Being a great manager in hospo requires more than running a smooth service. It means leading with empathy, communicating clearly, and supporting your team without burning out yourself.
This three-session coaching program is designed specifically for hospitality leaders—from venue managers to head chefs. We help them build the skills needed to lead confidently and sustainably, even in high-pressure environments.
What’s covered: Leadership strategies, managing difficult conversations, improving staff motivation, and creating psychologically safe teams.
Why decision-makers love it: Managers get targeted, practical support—and venues get stronger leaders who lift the whole team.
When your venue joins Hospo in Mind, we start with a high-energy, face-to-face (or virtual) team session.
It’s an engaging, easy-to-follow presentation that explains what support is available, how to access it, and why it matters. Our team helps set the tone from the start—normalising mental health conversations and building trust.
The outcome: Your team feels informed, included, and ready to make the most of the support on offer.
