James is a provisional psychologist with experience in clinical settings as well as social support programs. James is completing his final year internship at Mind Up. He has a particular interest in anxiety, depression, trauma, and collaboratively working with clients to understand where their issues originated.
James’ therapeutic approach is client-centred, with an emphasis on building strong therapeutic relationships. James understands that the cornerstone of positive change and feeling heard is built on a foundation of trust and respect.
James’ core strength is providing a down-to-earth and supportive therapeutic environment to work with clients’ goals at their own pace. James is open-minded and curious. He understands that each client is unique, with their own experiences and challenges.
