Registered Psychologist
BA (Psych Hons), MA (Psych)
Clare came to psychology through working with adolescents in remote wilderness settings across the US. Helping people cope with adversity led her to train as a psychologist in Canada, working with borderline personality disorder and addictions. Clare uses evidence-based practice to help adults and adolescents work through a wide range of issues, from trauma and grief, to gender identity and life transitions. She helps individuals, and couples navigate conflict, improve communication, build trust, and understand intimacy.
Clare’s unique life experiences have taught her resilience, problem solving, and perspective, and have shaped her therapeutic approach, by helping people to understand their issues through a survival mindset. Clare’s natural curiosity and empathy help her to build strong relationships, create safe spaces, and work collaboratively with her clients to realise their goals. Coming to therapy can be a big step. Clare understands the courage needed to step into the unknown, and how to journey alongside.
