Hope After The Fire

Mind Up employee Simone Hill holds a bag of dog food as part of a donation

SIMONE’S MISSION TO SUPPORT OUR FURRY FRIENDS IN NEED

Like many in the community, Mind Up receptionist Simone Hill was devastated to see the affects the bushfires have had across Victorian communities in January this year. An avid animal-lover, Simone decided to spread some love from the Melbourne community out to our affected rural wildlife.

Working tirelessly, Simone collected donations from generous individuals and businesses across the western suburbs, including hundreds of kilos of dog food, cat food and many vet supplies. The generosity of the community was so much that Simone had to upgrade from her car to a van for her big trip out to Fawcett, Victoria.

Working with the local animal shelter, Simone was able to deliver the supplies to directly help the local wildlife, and ensure the local shelter has enough to operate through this very challenging period. The Mind Up team are very proud of Simone and the wider community for showing compassion in this great initiative.
