Feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from your work? You may be experiencing burnout. Burnout is a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by prolonged stress. It can lead to detachment and cynicism towards work, as well as reduced effectiveness and productivity. It’s important to recognize the signs of burnout and take steps to address it.

Below are tests that can help you assess your level of burnout:

The Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI)
The MBI is considered the “gold standard” for measuring burnout, encompassing 3 scales: Emotional Exhaustion, Depersonalization (Cynicism), and Personal Accomplishment. It can give you a comprehensive understanding of your burnout level.

Professional Quality of Life Measure (ProQOL)
ProQOL measures the quality of care you provide to others, and the quality of your work life. It consists of three subscales: Compassion Satisfaction, Burnout, and Compassion Fatigue (Secondary Traumatic Stress). The ProQOL can help you understand how your work affects your overall well-being.

Index of Clinical Stress (ICS)
The ICS assesses the levels of stress you experience in various aspects of your life, including your job, relationships, and health. It measures your perceived stress level and helps you identify areas where you may need support or change.

Scoring and interpretation are provided at the end of each test. This will assist you in understanding your level of burnout and taking appropriate actions to address it. Please keep in mind that burnout is a serious issue that can have a significant impact on your health and well-being. Seeking support and making necessary changes are essential for overcoming and preventing burnout.
